Mice? Not Nice! Getting Rid of Your Mouse Situation ASAP
One mouse, two mouse, your house, my house!
Mice might seem like the more loveable version of rats, but make no mistake! Disney movies aside, they can pose a serious threat to your home and family if they decide to take up residence in the walls of your house.
Mice are good at a couple things. First of all, they have an impressive appetite. They like to eat! And when they’re not eating, they chew. This destructive behavior can quickly escalate and cause serious structural damage.
Second, they’re great at spreading disease. Mouse urine and feces can carry viruses and bacteria. Diseases like salmonella that are communicable can be transferred to human residents if mouse droppings contaminate food sources.
There are different methods for getting rid of mice, but the most humane is to trap them and release them. This is only really feasible if you catch them early enough.
There’s a third thing that mice are good at… making more mice. Populations can explode before you know it.
Mice are also good at hiding. You’ll probably hear them before you see them. If you notice scratching noises in your walls or ceiling, it’s a strong indication of these pesky visitors.
